QUIT COWARDICE, PUNISH GOR MAHIA

I am a fan incensed. Incensed by Gor Mahia. Incensed by Football Kenya limited. While our football over speeds on a downward spiral, our federation keeps employing the same tactics, and promising us different results! What’s that even? Madness, yes.

Let’s begin here. Gor Mahia is a Luo club. Forget arguments. It’s a Luo club. May be not all Luos support Gor Mahia, may be not all Gor Mahia supporters are Luo [Francis Gachuri] but that’s negligible. Gor Mahia has been instrumental in the growth of Kenyan football for years. Decades actually, thanks a lot.

But, right now, Gor Mahia is the utmost detriment to Kenyan football. Especially the Kenyan Premier League. We needed Gor to grow, but now having Gor is preventing us from growing any further. You know how a child has to use furniture for support when he’s learning to walk? At that point, the furniture is of major importance to the kid’s life. But if the little one keeps holding on to chairs forever, they will never leave the sitting room; they will never advance in life. That is what Gor WAS to Kenyan football.

And now we need to move on. Leave Gor-mania behind and progress in life. We could even sell them on OLX to a country like……where is it that they are still in chaos?

Like any true hooliz, Gor have always had a way to convince everyone that it was not their fault. One day, it was the referee. The next it was the steward. The security agents. The organizers. The County Government. Elly Kalekwa. Somebody. Why is it that  someone has to be on the wrong when Gor is involved. I’ll tell you why; it’s because Gor-Maina is at fault. Big fault. A calamitious fault.

I have never been one to wish ill luck even on enemies, but I really hope Gor have effectively surrendered the title to  Sofacats.

In short, Kenyan football can do without Gor Mahia for a season or two. Or three, or forever. Because Gor have already played their part. Now, it is time for ‘exit Bassanio’ I mean, exit Gor maniacs. Fare thee well, extinctopithecus, Gor shittecus.

It’s a new day,a new dawn, for Kenyan football.  A peaceful, logical dawn.
